The only thing you know for certain about the forecast is that it is wrong.
Type identifiers separated by spaces, as many waypoints as you like: KFWS KAXQ KLEB. Add ground speed in knots and a departure time in Zulu. Plot draws the route and shows distance and time en route.
Each step is one forecast hour. The aircraft icon slides along the route to roughly where you'd be at that time, so the radar you see is the forecast for your position, not for a fixed spot on the map. Left of Now, step back through observed radar to see which way a cell is actually tracking.
Zoom into the edge of a storm and the Nav layer shows fixes you can route around it. Long-press the map for nearby fixes and tap one to add it. Enter a stop and ground minutes for a weather hold or fuel; the aircraft pauses there so later legs line up with the right hour.
Color is reflectivity in dBZ. The same color table is used for the forecast frames and the observed frames, so shading is directly comparable along the whole timeline.
Dark green, 30 dBZ, is the point at or above which to use extreme caution. If a cell contains anything above dark green, yellow, red or magenta, treat the entire cell as that highest intensity and avoid it.
Cycles the base map: OpenStreetMap, FAA VFR sectionals, FAA IFR enroute lows. Charts follow the current 56-day FAA cycle.
Airspace, airports and navaids, thinning as you zoom out so identifiers stay readable. A second tap shows airports with a hotel within about a mile.

HRRR, the High-Resolution Rapid Refresh, is a NOAA model covering the U.S. at 3 km detail. Every hourly run reaches 18 hours ahead; the 0000, 0600, 1200 and 1800 Zulu runs reach 48. The app always shows the newest frames available, hour by hour, and the far end of the timeline shortens as a run ages until the next 48-hour run posts.
